About the Artist
 
Mario Enrique Figueroa Jr., known as GONZO247, is an award-winning, internationally recognized, self-taught artist who helped pioneer Houston’s graffiti and street-art movement. For over three decades, his bold murals have energized neighborhoods across Houston, Texas, and beyond. A community builder as much as an artist, he produced the Aerosol Warfare video series, co-founded the Houston Wall of Fame, launched Luckie’s Pocket at the historic Charles W. Luckie Schoolhouse, and produced the Houston Urban Experience (HUE) Festival (2015–2019). He founded the Graffiti & Street Art Museum in 2015 and continues to create, curate, and mentor through his studio.
